In today's world of social media, photographers' images are often circulated through platforms without the photographer's consent. Often, accounts with large and small followings alike will repost images they find online, and sometimes these unauthorized reposted images even receive more attention than the photographer's original post! Luckily, there are ways to take back ownership of your work.

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is an important facet of U.S. Copyright law that includes a provision called a DMCA Takedown.
