This course is about the art and technique of capturing photographic images with the specific goal of producing museum-quality prints on fine art paper. Participants will explore the fundamentals of composition, lighting, and post-processing to elevate their photography to a level suitable for high-end printing. Through in-depth discussions, students will learn how to optimize their images for the unique characteristics of fine art paper, considering factors such as texture, color accuracy, and tonal range. Additionally, the course will cover the technical aspects of printing, including resolution requirements and color management, ensuring that participants can achieve the highest quality results. By the end of the course, students will possess the skills to create visually stunning and technically impeccable prints that reflect their artistic vision on fine art paper. Student prints will be evaluated to give immediate actionable feedback.
