Have you ever looked at the master photographer’s landscapes and smooth following waters of a mountain stream or waterfall and say to yourself, I want to do this type of photography? If so, then this workshop is for you. I have been shooting flowing water and waterfalls most of my photographic career. We will start our day at one of my favorite locations in New Hampshire, the Basins in the Franconia notch of New Hampshire. This is a great location with ample parking and a very short walk to the waterfalls and cascades. I will work with you on the use of the polarizer and neutral density filters to produce the classic cotton candy flowing water. Do not worry if you do not own any neutral density filters since I have them for you to try. We will go over the framing and composition of the shot to keep the viewers eye engaged within the photo. If we have time, we will seek out a few other locations within this area for more grand landscapes and waterfalls. For me, the ideal weather for this type of photography is overcast with light rain so if it is raining lightly, we will hold the workshop as scheduled. In the event of heavy rain, I will work with everyone to reschedule the workshop. The parking lot for the basins is off the south bound lane of Route 93.
